Elvis Manu (18) is a Dutch-Ghanaian striker who was born and raised in the Netherlands.The young striker who recently graduated from Feyenoord’s academy signed a three-and-half year contract extension on 13th December 2011,his first professional contract.
He is a member of the Dutch Under -19 team.Elvis has already scored a goal and made 1 assist for his national side in the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship qualifiers.The Dutch are currently second in their qualifying group (level on points with Croatia,both teams have amassed 7 points).On January 7,2012 Manu scored on his Feyenoord debut in an international friendly.The Rotterdammer beat IJsselmeervogels 4-2.

Elvis Manu is a fast and powerful striker who scores easily. Elvis can play in various positions in attack.The Under-19 striker has been promoted to the senior team with five other players (Anass Achahbar, Matthew Steenvoorden, Tonny Trindade De Vilhena, Mats van Huijgevoort and Terence Kongolo).Coach Ronald Koeman has confidence in Feyernoord’s youngsters.The sextet are currently part of the first team’s training camp in Marbella,Spain.

Manu is yet to fully decide which senior national team he wants to represent as players like Quincy,Benson and George Boateng have all represented the Dutch youth teams but were never able to break into the Oranje side.He is still eligible to play for Ghana since his parents were born there.
Koeman wanted to loan the young striker to Feyenoord’s feeder team Excelsior but the coach has now decided to give Manu a chance to fight for a place in the first team.
