Dutch-born Ghanaian Raymond Gyasi (18) has signed a 3-year contract with AZ Alkmaar. The youngster was named young player of the Year for the under 19’s after finishing the season as top scorer and top assist man.
Earnest Stewart, AZ’s Director of Football: “Raymond Gyasi is a multifunctional attacker, with good individual action and also scores a lot of goals. His greatest asset is his speed as he poses a big threat for the opposition’s defence. He will get the chance to fight for a place in the first team next season. We hope that his good development continues and eventually results in playing minutes for first team. “
Gyasi: “I have worked very hard for this since joining AZ’s youth team three years ago. It is a nice way to end my youth career. When I join the seniors next week I will let them know who I am from day one. I am going there full of courage and belief.”
